Hampton Inn & Suites Denver/Highlands Ranch

We stayed two nights in our first room, and both nights I struggled to breathe — I went to sleep with a stuffy nose and woke up extremely congested. Eventually, I discovered the source of the odor: a used condom tucked underneath the bed, clearly missed during cleaning. I found it on our first night and requested housekeeping, but even after they cleaned the next day, it was still there. I honestly can’t believe we stayed a second night in that room. Thankfully, the staff switched us to a new room the following day, and the difference was immediate. It was clean, smelled fresh, and made the rest of our stay much more comfortable. The front desk team was kind and accommodating, and once we were moved, we had no further issues. I also really appreciated how easy parking was. The side entrance by the elevator made coming and going extremely convenient. Their free breakfast was a nice bonus too — nothing like grabbing a bagel before heading out to explore. We stayed at this hotel specifically because it’s close to Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and the drive there was quick and easy. Overall, despite a rough start, the rest of our stay was pleasant, and I would consider returning based on the service and how well the staff handled the room change.

We had a great experience. Friendly staff. They allowed me to check-in early after arriving to Denver with no sleep which was greatly appreciated. There was a variety of breakfast items. Rooms were clean. Our beds were never made/changed but other than that the stay was perfect. I loved the view of the mountains in the background.

Stay was great. Pool was clean and a good size. The workout room was perfect with dumbbells, benches and cardio machines. Breakfast had a nice variety of options. The best part of the entire experience was the person that checked me in. James took care of our every need and made sure every guest was welcomed. He had really good taste in recommendations for us and we heard another group of guest thanking him on a restaurant recommendation.

Overall the hotel is pretty decent. The bed isn't nearly as comfortable as I would have hoped. The biggest frustration is that this hotel looks to nickel and dime you to death throughout your entire stay. Sure, the room price isn't bad, but you have to pay for an extra dinner at the hotel. Plus you have to pay if you want breakfast. Plus if you want good Wi-Fi it's an extra $5 a day. And don't forget that if you want the complimentary a bottle of water, it's not complimentary, it's $3. This is why I usually stay at a Marriott, where you get all of these features and you don't have to pay extra for them. While the room was fine, all of these extra charges have inspired me to not stay at a Hilton next time.

The hotel was clean, quiet, and very comfortable throughout my stay. The staff were helpful and always willing to assist with any request. The room was spacious and had everything I needed. Breakfast was tasty and well-prepared every morning. A great place to stay for both business and leisure.

While the bed was comfortable, the room not only looked but also smelled nice and clean, and the breakfast was delicious with gluten free options... it was Shamas that pushed this stay into a 5 star. He was friendly, he was informative, he was very proactive on any needs that I may have had, and had a wonderful enrrgy late into the shift. I watched his consistent customer service skills with multiple guests throughout the day as I ran in and out, he even noticed the downpour of rain and offered an umbrella! He really is a shining benefit of staying at this hotel. Well done whoever hired him.

This is a clean and decent hotel, but the breakfast setup could be much more environmentally conscious. Using only disposable plates, cups, and plastic silverware creates a surprising amount of waste. Introducing reusable dishware would be a positive and responsible improvement.

The location was perfect, it was walking distance to one of the best places to eat No-No's Cafe, the hot tub and pool clean and private as were the rooms. Rooms. Also the front desk attendants we're very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.
